SUMMARY Section includes plastic laminate faced wood lockers. SUBMITTALS Product Data: Submit technical data and descriptive literature for each product. Include construction details, material descriptions, dimensions of individual components and profiles, and finishes for each type of locker [and bench]. Shop Drawings: For plastic-laminate clad wood lockers. Include plans, elevations, sections, and attachment details. Samples: Submit samples on wood substrate with finish surface specified of each color in manufacturer's standard color range for Architect's selection. Field Samples: Provide field samples in accordance with Section014000. Provide locker assembly of each type, complete with specified options and accessories. Manufacturer's Instructions: Submit detailed installation instructions. PREPARATION Condition lockers to average prevailing humidity conditions in installation areas before installation. Before installing lockers, examine factory-fabricated work for completeness and complete work as required, including removal of packing. INSTALLATION Lockers: Install in accordance with Section016000 and approved shop drawings. Install plumb, level, rigid, and flush. Connect groups of lockers together with manufacturers standard fasteners, through predrilled holes, with no exposed fasteners on face frames. Fit lockers accurately together to form flush, tight, hairline joints. Install lockers without distortion so doors and drawers fit openings properly and are accurately aligned. Adjust hardware to center doors and drawers in openings, providing unencumbered operation. Complete installation of hardware accessory items as indicated. Installation Tolerance: No more than 1/8 inch in 96-inch (3 mm in 2400-mm) sag, bow, or other variation from a straight line. Shim as required with concealed shims.
