Appointment InformationMD Anderson was the first center to combine cancer education, research and treatment under one roof. As an essential component of our mission, education informs all we do. We are also dedicated to training future leaders in the scientific, medical and allied health disciplines, preparing them to one day serve patients in Texas and the world beyond.

Admissions to the School of Health Professions is highly competitive. Completed applications are carefully reviewed by an Admissions Review Committee that considers the factors listed on each How to Apply page. Only competitive applicants are selected to advance to an admissions interview.
Consideration for admission is not based on race, national origin, veteran status, sex, age or disability.
After admittance and prior to enrollment, each undergraduate student must show successful completion of the TSI and all students must submit additional documents.
The TSI (formerly TASP) is a state mandated program that is designed to improve student success and outcomes in college. Any student seeking to enroll in an undergraduate program at the school must provide proof of successful completion prior to enrollment. For more information visit .
All students who are accepted to the school are required to have a record of current health immunizations, a satisfactorily complete drug screening, and a cleared criminal background check. Detailed instructions and specific deadline dates will be provided at the time a student is accepted for admissions.
