Boot Walk to End Cancer update
Get your boots on - accelerate the Advance Team's fundraising efforts for the second annual Boot Walk to End Cancer?
MD Anderson's Boot Walk to End Cancer? is less than a month away. Our goal is to have 100% of Advance Team members participate this year by fundraising, walking and/or volunteering at the Boot Walk.
To date, the Advance Team has raised $8,125 of our $10,000 goal. That's more than 80% of the way! We know with your support and vast networks, we have the ability to achieve and exceed this goal.
100% of the funds raised support MD Anderson's mission to end cancer. Your donation helps:
- Fund groundbreaking research that will help save lives around the world.
- Improve cancer care delivery and availability for those impacted by cancer.
- Provide better diagnostic tools and tests that improve quality of life for cancer survivors.
Please join us in the fight to end cancer by donating to one of our team members - - or by registering to join our team to start your own fundraising page. You still have a few weeks to make a difference.
Fundraising tips and tricks can be found in your Fundraising Center, once you register. Our favorite tips include:
- Send messages to your contacts using the Boot Walk to End Cancer? mobile application.
- Customize your personal fundraising page with a photo and tell the world why you want to give cancer the boot!
- Make a personal donation to lead by example. People are more likely to donate when they see you contributed too.
Boot Walk Day-of details
This year's Boot Walk to End Cancer? will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11. The short, 1.2 mile route wraps around the Texas Medical Center and kicks off at the "Prairie," the green space in front of Mays Clinic at 1220 Holcombe Blvd.
The Advance Team plans to meet at 12:30 p.m. right by the starting line so we can walk the route together as a team. Please feel free to bring your family and friends so they can participate and get to know your fellow Advance Team members. If possible, have them register ahead of time on the Boot Walk website. Call us with any questions or if you need directions.
We're looking forward to seeing you all very soon! Thank you for your continued commitment to Making Cancer History?.
