Emil J Freireich Hematology Grand Rounds
The MD Anderson Cancer Center Emil J Freireich Hematology Grand Rounds now has a virtual format. This series will highlight the incredible research taking place at MD Anderson Cancer Center while showcasing leaders from our research community, in an effort to remain engaged and inspired during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted by the Leukemia department in collaboration with the Lymphoma/Myeloma department, and Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy department, we aim to strengthen the connections between the scientific and medical community at MD Anderson Cancer Center, our colleagues, patients and friends from around the world.
After attending this activity, the target audience of physicians from Leukemia, Lymphoma/Myeloma, Stem Cell Transplantation and Research Staff, Nurses, Data Coordinators, Laboratory Staff, Post-Doctoral Fellows, Instructors, and Research Staff in Lab should be able to:
- Assess clinical and translational research in lymphoma and plasma cell dyscrasia (knowledge);
- Increase collaboration between disciplines regarding lymphoma and plasma cell dyscrasia (knowledge, competence, performance);
- Update knowledge and collaboration in trials and research (knowledge, competence, performance);
- Accelerate the speed of translational research and clinical trials to achieve better patient outcomes (knowledge, competence, performance, patient outcomes);
The series will occur every Wednesday at 8 a.m. CST and will consist of a 45-minute presentation followed by a Q&A session.
