The is a targeted initiative to train talented postdoctoral fellows, early-stage investigators and doctoral scholars with the ultimate goal of recruiting and retaining a strong alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD) research workforce that can mitigate ATOD use and the chronic health conditions that result.

The is a targeted initiative to train talented scholars to address tobacco use amongst their patients and to understand and conduct tobacco-related cancer prevention/health equity research. The two tracks are a 10-week, full time summer program for medical students and those entering medical school in the fall (national catchment) and a 12-month, part time program for enrolled in doctoral degree programs in and around Houston, Texas.
